Job Summary
- Experienced Chemist / Industrial Chemist with verifiable experience in soap and allied products manufacturing is required to work in a cottage company for the packaging and distribution of cleaning and hygiene chemicals and also support the effort at getting new clients for the products.
- We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Liquid Soap Maker to join our production team. As a Liquid Soap Maker, you’ll be responsible for manufacturing high-quality liquid soap products, ensuring compliance with company standards, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production:
- Manufacture liquid soap products according to recipes and formulations.
- Measure and mix raw materials accurately.
- Operate soap-making equipment (e.g., mixers, blenders, filling machines).
- Monitor temperature, pH, and viscosity levels.
- Perform quality control checks on finished products.
Safety and Hygiene:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor raw material inventory levels.
- Order supplies as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain accurate records of production, quality control, and inventory.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with production team members.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Participate in training and development programs.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in soap-making or a related field.
- Sales, Logistics and Distribution skills
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and OSHA regulations.
- High school diploma, degree or equivalent.
- Knowledge of soap-making processes and ingredients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in soap-making or cosmetic manufacturing.
- Experience with liquid soap production.
- Knowledge of fragrance and essential oil blending.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced production environment.
- Exposure to chemicals, fragrances, and dyes.
- Required to wear PPE (gloves, goggles, mask).
